Built to Last is a documentary film directed by George Siegal and narrated by award-winning actor Dylan Baker that addresses poorly constructed homes and their consequences for homeowners and communities. The film exposes the causes of poor construction, including weak building codes and the influence of special interests that prevent strengthening them.


Through expert interviews, the documentary emphasizes the urgency for reform while shifting to a positive outlook by showcasing well-built structures that have withstood disasters, innovative construction techniques, and resilient materials.

Executive produced by Aris Papadopoulos, a MIT and Harvard graduate who authored "Resilience–The Ultimate Sustainability" and is a 9/11 World Trade Center survivor, the film features homeowner interviews and expert discussions that demonstrate the benefits of quality construction and comprehensive regulations.
