OSHA Outreach Training Program provides workers with basic and advanced training about common safety and health hazards on the job, offering 10-hour and 30-hour courses for both Construction Industry and General Industry delivered by OSHA-authorized trainers.
The 10-hour class is intended to provide workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards, while the 30-hour class is more appropriate for supervisors or workers with safety responsibility.
Training covers recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards, workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and complaint filing procedures. Students receive an OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour course completion card at the end of training, though this is a voluntary program that does not fulfill employer requirements for specific OSHA standards.
Available through authorized online providers and in-person instruction.
